WHERE CAN US CITIZENS TRAVEL WITH VACCINE?

Most of the countries are open to U.S. travelers, however as variants cause Covid- 19 cases outpours, some areas, including some parts of Europe, have resumed restrictions like pre-arrival testing, quarantine, and travel bans.

Where can US citizens travel with vaccine? At the end of August, the E.U. removed the U.S. from the safe list for non-important U.S. visitors resulting in U.S. citizens facing more challenges entering some of the E.U.’s 27 member countries. Nearly all European nations still allow vaccinated U.S. citizens; however, countries got the right to put their own rules and restrictions in place. In a sign of how fluid policies are, recently, the British authorities announced that as of 4th October, England would replace its two-colored traffic light system for designating requirements with a single red list restricting travel from only the level 4 countries- highest risk countries.

Meanwhile, the C.D.C. continues to urge U.S. citizens not to travel internationally until they are fully vaccinated. Despite the concern over the contagious delta variant, the C.D.C. cautions U.S. travelers to Double or triple check the situation at their destination before traveling outside the U.S. Not only are you risking raising your health, but things can change abruptly, and travelers need to stay online with the most recent updates of their international destination. Those wanting to learn more about the risk in a specific country can visit the C.D.C. website, where a four-tier ranking system guides in detail.

On 20th September, Biden administration- The White House- announced that the U.S.A. will be implementing a new rule for incoming international travel come November. The new system will not only affect foreign nationals but will also dramatically affect U.S. citizens’ experience flying back from abroad. Currently, all passengers age two and above boarding a plane to the U.S. must produce proof of negative test results taken 72 hours before travel. This exempts individuals who have received the covid 19 vaccine and persons who can provide evidence of having recovered from the virus in the previous 90 days. But starting next month-November-, an unvaccinated traveler will have to take the test within 24 hours instead of 72 hours upon arrival and another second test after returning home.

Where can US citizens travel with vaccine? In more news, on 12th October, the white house announced the reopening of land borders in November, where the U.S. shares with Mexico and Canada. This development will increase traffic both ways (foreigners from both nations to the U.S. must be vaccinated to be allowed in the country).
